"Many of the players in our squad have been fortunate to play in some amazing international tournaments but nothing can match the atmosphere we experienced when playing in Euro 2005 in England. The knowledge and passion for the game is unrivalled and it would be an incredible boost for both girls and boys football if we were to host the World Cup in 2018."
Hope Powell, Manager of the England women's team said: "I've been lucky enough to play for and manage an England side at numerous tournaments around the world - including the last UEFA European Women’s Championship in England in 2005. The atmosphere during that tournament and the way the nation got behind the team was amazing."
"Should England host the FIFA World Cup in 2018 the nation's unquestionable passion for the game would spread throughout the country creating an unforgettable tournament. We are proud to be supporting England 2018 and urge the entire nation to Back the Bid."
