London hosts fans from all around the globe
In a week that saw five international teams play friendly games in London, fans from around the world united behind the England 2018 World Cup Bid.
Supporters from Brazil, Republic of Ireland, Ivory Coast, Korea Republic and Egypt posed with official Back the Bid boards and scarves to show their support for hosting the tournament in England as the global support for the England Bid continues to grow.
As well as a host of famous faces including Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, America's Got Talent Host Piers Morgan, heavyweight world champion David Haye and Hollywood actor Michael Sheen hundreds of thousands of fans from a more than 100 countries have now shown their support by registering at
www.England2018bid.com.
Stephen Hopkins from Ireland said: "Every football fan from around the world loves English football and it's always a buzz watching your team in England. A World Cup over here would be fantastic and no doubt thousands of Irish fans would come over to enjoy the tournament."
Thiago de Oliveira from Brazil said: "I've seen Brazil play at The Emirates on a couple of occasions now and it always provides an amazing atmosphere - there is something special about football in England and for this country to host a World Cup would be amazing for fans from around the world."
